IQOS ILUMA series launched in Japan

IQOS’s newest devices – the IQOS ILUMA series – has launched in Japan.

The latest IQOS ILUMA technology taking heated tobacco to the next level. The all-new IQOS ILUMA with TEREA re-thinks the rules of heating tobacco. The innovative SMARTCORE INDUCTION SYSTEM^TM heats the tobacco from within the TEREA stick, so tobacco is heated not burned for an altogether better and cleaner experience.

What is the technology?

The devices of the ILUMA generation no longer have a heating blade. Now there is no risk of damaging the fragile heating element during use or cleaning.

But we still adhere to the principle - for certain advantages the tobacco must be heated from the inside (and not along the contour through the paper covering) and with the maximum contact area. Therefore, special TEREA sticks were created for IQOS ILUMA devices, with the heating element inside the stick. Yes, each stick now has a built-in stainless steel coated heating blade for seamless transfer of heat from the holder to the tobacco.

So, all the devices from IQOS ILUMA series, have improved draw consistency, zero tobacco residue and no need to clean the device freuently.
